Donna GoodDonna Good has been awarded the Branch County Art Guild's September 2002 Artist of the Month award. Donna has been a member of the Guild for 6 years and enjoys the fellowship and learning experiences in the guild. Donna has been doing art for 56 years. She started with photo coloring, learning color basics and applied the color theory she learned to her beautiful artwork.Donna grew up on a farm,. and later built a home near her childhood home, where she raised a family with her Husband John. She loves living in the country and has 22 Great-Grandchildren.Donna is a retired RN, and has developed her interest in art by attending seminars. She considers herself mainly "self taught". Donna's favorite media are oils and acrylics, and landscapes are her favorite subject to paint. Her style is realism. She also likes to experiment with watercolor.Donna Good considers her family her greatest supporters. She paints requests for them, and pleasing her family gives her great pleasure and incentive to do art. Donna's goal is "just to paint". She states, "I share an interest in painting with others who have long had a desire to try their hand in the art. It's rewarding to see their enjoyment~ it also helps keep me painting." She meets once a week with other artists.The guild meets monthly. Donna says what she likes about the guild is "sharing ideas and learning new techniques from others."
